      Founder & CEO/Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist

      Pamela Colston Joy specializes in early identification, treatment strategies and the creation of comprehensive developmental programs for children and adults with language/learning deficits and students on the autistic spectrum. She believes in a collaborative approach where speech/language therapy, occupational therapy and behavioral therapy are integrated as needed. Pam founded the multi-disciplinary clinic Associated Learning & Language Specialists (ALLS), in 1980 and Arbor Bay School (ABS) a K-8 school for children with learning differences, in 2003.

      Pam has participated in and taught many advanced-level language, social, and educational courses, and created specific core curriculum and strategies for different learning styles. She also has advanced coursework and training in specialized curriculum and behavior programs, current brain research and social/pragmatic skills.

      Pam earned an MA in Speech Pathology and Audiology and her CCC. She is licensed by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance and certified by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. She is a frequent speaker on developmental issues at preschools, special education organizations, school districts, hospitals and public agencies.

      Prior to starting her own clinic, she worked at the Children’s Health Council, Community Association for Rehabilitation, and Sequoia Hospital.

      As Director, Stephane Asimacopoulos Tziavaras brings a vision of providing evidence based, creative, therapeutic interventions to all who walk through the door of ALLS. Stephane is a speech pathologist who specializes in speech disorders and children with autism, working to get them to engage with her to improve their motivation to communicate. Stephane’s many years of working collaboratively with occupational and behavioral therapists has shaped her therapy to include strategies which facilitate regulation and participation. Stephane’s career progressed from working with stroke and brain injured patients at Sequoia Hospital to working with children at ALLS, to supervising a speech therapy clinic for children with autism in Sacramento, to Illinois (after marrying her Illinois husband) to supervise the speech team at a K-12 school for children on the autism spectrum, and back again to ALLS as the Director.

      Stephane earned an MA in Communicative Disorders from the University of the Pacific. She is licensed by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance and certified by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

      Kathy has been with ALLS since 2009 as our Front Office Administrator. She came to ALLS from the Mortgage Banking business which she was in for 25 years. She enjoys working at ALLS because she gets to interact with parents and children, seeing first hand their growth and progression.

      Her hobbies include cooking, trying new recipes, shopping, and enjoys spending time with her family.
