      Audrey graduated from Xavier University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in a pediatric clinic, and school settings, with clients ranging in age from 1 year to 20 years. At ALLS, Audrey provides services to children in both clinic locations, as well as in a nearby school district. She loves that her experiences have allowed her to interact with so many different clients, and she enjoys working with clients to promote their independence and participation at home, school, and with their friends. She feels very fortunate for the opportunity to work collaboratively with families at ALLS to find solutions that best fit their needs.

      Early Interventionist

      Nikki Phan received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies across the fields of Speech and Hearing Sciences, Psychology, and Linguistics at University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2012, she gained experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum in a one-on-one classroom setting. Nikki joined the ALLS team in 2014 as an Early Interventionist/Behavior Therapist where she received training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She works with children under the age of 3 and their families targeting each individual’s behaviors, speech and language development, motor development, self-help skills, play, social skills, and cognitive skills.

      Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist/Assistive Technology Professional

      Amanda earned a B.A. in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College and a M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Iowa. Her professional areas of interest are feeding therapy and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). Amanda’s therapeutic philosophy is largely based on Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development. The Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) refers to the distance between what a child can do on his/her own and the adult-like target behavior. Using play and visual supports to target speech and language milestones, Amanda assists children in developing their skills in fun and accessible ways. She has completed the Assistive Technology Certification Program at California State University, Northridge, is a nationally certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) through RESNA, and is trained in Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding. Her hobbies outside of work include musical theatre, jewelry making, and hiking.

      Occupational Therapist

      Katherine Soto is a recent graduate from San Jose State University. She received her bachelors of science in occupational therapy with a minor in child development. She continued her education at San Jose State University and received her Masters of Science in occupational therapy. Katherine has always had a passion for working with children and has previously worked as a camp counselor for children and adults with disabilities.

      Speech and Language Pathologist/Preschool Teacher

      Sherrean received her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, East Bay and I has an undergraduate degree in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University. Her passion for working with children and families started 9 years ago when she became a preschool teacher. As an undergraduate, Sherrean completed an internship at an elementary school in South San Francisco where she became acquainted with Speech-Language Pathologists and the rest is history! Prior to starting at ALLS, she worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist intern at Community Gatepath and at an elementary school in the Belmont-Redwood Shores school district. Her interests include finding ways to make the therapeutic process functional to promote generalization, collaborating in an interdisciplinary setting, early intervention, augmentative and alternative communication, and working closely with families. During her spare time she enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, and being around family and friends.

            Leanora Barragan began working at Associated Learning and Language (ALLS) in 2012 as Co-Teacher in the Infant/Toddler program, and now is a Co-Teacher for the Preschool Program. She assists our Speech–Language Pathologist to help children reach their primary goals such as self-help, play, social skills and motor development. This helps the children to become more independent amongst their peers via reduced adult facilitation and support.
            In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching movies.

      Stephanie recently graduated from California State University, Chico with her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Science and Disorders of Spring 16’. Stephanie currently works as a co teacher in the Infant Toddler class, Early Intervention & Behavior Therapy, and admin work in the front. Before attending college Stephanie spent many summers working as a camp counselor, teaching swim lessons, and doing admin work in a law office. Stephanie is currently working at Starbucks in Menlo Park on her free time to save money to pursue her master as a Speech Language Pathologist. Stephanie hopes to attend Chico State or University of Pacific for Fall 17′.

      Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys swimming, spending time with her friends and family, photography, and watching the San Jose Sharks.

      Lauren recently graduated from California State University, Chico with her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders of Spring 16’. During her time at Chico State she was active in the Chico State chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, Community Action Volunteers in Education (CAVE), and was the head intern of CSUC Academic Advising. Lauren began volunteering at ALLS Summer 2014 and recently joined the team as an Early Interventionist/Behavior Therapist. Lauren hopes to attend graduate school to become a Speech Language Pathologist. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, live music, and yoga.

    • Maree Hay

      Maree graduated from University of Queensland, Australia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in pediatric clinics and public and non-public school settings in Australia and USA with clients ranging in age from 2 – 18 years old. Maree has extensive experience working with children with fine motor and gross motor delays, visual motor and perceptual difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental delays. She has always enjoyed working within a collaborative team environment supporting families so that children are given every opportunity to reach their fullest potential in their day to day lives.

      In her spare time, Maree enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the Bay Area, going to the beach, and playing netball.

      Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development from Boston College. She attended Temple University, where she received a Master of Arts degree for Speech-Language Pathology. She joined the ALLS team after working as a travel speech and language pathologist in multiple settings and locations throughout California. Her speech therapy experiences include working in preschools, middle schools, pediatric inpatient rehabilitation centers, as well as pediatric and adult acute care medical centers. Heather enjoys facilitating communication for clients to promote functional skills for personal life, workplaces, and community activities. Outside of work, she enjoys various exercise programs, volleyball, and trying new restaurants and/or recipes.

      Justine earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology, and a minor in Child Psychology, from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. She went on to earn her Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. She was a nanny for many years and loves working with children. She has worked as an aide in an autistic support classroom, as well as in general education classrooms in elementary schools. She has enjoyed her experiences working with kids in an outpatient setting, as well as collaborating with occupational therapists doing joint therapies such as the FLOORTIME technique. She’s passionate about making therapy fun and functional, as well as involving parents to promote carryover of skills at home.
      Justine enjoys horseback riding, cooking, wine, the beach, running with her dogs, and spending time in Hawaii and the mountains of Pennsylvania with her family.

      Jessica Guerrero is completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at San Francisco State University. She has three years of experience working in finance and accounting and is currently a Staff Accountant at Associated Learning and Language Specialists, Inc. Jessica is self-driven, encouraging to others, and motivated to expand her expertise and skills.

      When Jessica is not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, her three children and her dog.

      Speech and Language Pathologist

      Kristin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from UC San Diego and a Master’s degree in Speech, Language, and Learning from Northwestern University. Prior to joining ALLS, she provided services in a variety of settings including preschool, elementary school, private practice, and pediatric outpatient. Her interests include working with children affected by language delay and disorders, autism spectrum disorder, social pragmatic challenges, and other difficulties related to communication and interaction. Kristin is passionate about working with families to ensure goals within speech therapy are functional, evidence-based, and geared toward helping children communicate in their daily environments. When not working, Kristin enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, and traveling.

      Alexandra Nikulina was a dedicated and thoughtful therapist who provided speech therapy to children throughout her career here at ALLS. Alexandra graduated from California State University, East Bay, and specialized in Infant/Toddler therapy. Alexandra was a loyal, reliable, and hard-working therapist who shared her knowledge and skills, not only with her clients, but with other therapists. Alexandra lost her battle with cancer in June 2015. She is sorely missed by everyone at ALLS, and will always be remembered.
